CSI/McCown dropped a 55-53 overtime decision to visiting Frederick Douglass Academy in CSIM's non-league season finale Friday in New Springville.
CSIM's John Cosentino nailed a 3-pointer with five seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into the extra session.
Despite the loss, first-year head coach Ray Palma reflected positively on his team's 4-16 season.
"Going forward, we have a lot of young talent. Amric Archer and Chris Frank got big minutes and can play at this level. With these two kids as our cornerstones, the future looks bright," he said.
"I started with 12 guys and ended with the same kids," Palma continued. "I didn't have an issue with any of them. Everyone contributed at some point this year."
Archer led the way for CSIM with 24 points and 16 rebounds while Bernard Jones netted 11 points.
